My name is Darin Schafer. I was born August 1, 1988. I graduated from Portland High School in 2006. Most of my life I thought I wanted to be an architect. Well I went to Lawrence Technological University to study architecture, and after one semester I was great at the major and did good work. I liked what I was doing, but after talking to many architects there just isn’t a great outlook on the job, and it takes a long time to get developed. So I decided to switch majors and now I have been majoring in construction management for 1 ½ years. I really like it so far, and I am very interested and knowledgeable in the construction field.  Right now I am finishing up my last semester at Lansing Community College. After this semester I will be attending Ferris State University in the fall of 08. I’m excited to get my to a real college atmosphere. I should finish my bachelors in 2-21/2 years, and I still plan on finishing my masters afterwards. Right now I have half of my associates completed and half of my bachelors. I’m excited anyways.

My hobbies would have to include fishing, hunting, bow hunting, car audio, racing, drawing, drinking, partying, working on cars, construction….and I’m sure there are others. I’m a pretty laid back guy, and just like to have a good time. I get bored easily so I always have to be doing something, but I do just enjoy relaxing. Right now I’m dating this amazing girl, Adrianne Andries, she really is great and it’s been going great so far.  I listen to a lot of rap/hip, and enjoy country too. I’m definitely a country boy, but don’t look like it. I got a lot of friends, and have done a lot of stupid things. It’s more fun that way. My friends sometimes call me the dumbest smart person they know.
